Cookie policy

We keep this simple. The only cookie this site sets is the one CookieYes uses to remember your consent choice - a strictly necessary cookie. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The consent banner, and the floating cookie icon, let you review your choice at any time.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device to remember something - usually a session, a preference, or an analytics identifier.

  • Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser.
  • Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.
  • First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting.
  • Third-party cookies are set by another domain (analytics, embedded video, and so on).

The cookie we set

Just one, and it exists only to record your consent so the banner does not reappear on every page:

  • Name - cookieyes-consent (and related cookieyes-* keys)
  • Provider - CookieYes, our consent-management platform
  • Purpose - stores your cookie preferences and powers the preferences centre
  • Duration - 1 year
  • Category - strictly necessary; a first-party cookie set on the cutthefluff.eu domain

Strictly necessary cookies like this one do not require consent under EU law, because they are needed to deliver a feature you have asked for - here, remembering your own privacy choice.

What we don't set

Everything else is empty. CookieYes's own scan of this site confirms zero cookies in every other category:

  • Functional - none
  • Analytics - none; we run no analytics
  • Performance - none
  • Advertisement - none
  • Uncategorised - none

If we ever add a non-essential cookie - analytics, say - it will be off by default and will load only after you opt in through the banner, and this page will be updated to list it.

Managing your choices

You have two independent controls:

  • The consent banner. Use the floating cookie icon in the corner of the page to reopen the CookieYes preferences centre and change or withdraw your choice at any time.
  • Your browser. Cookie controls live under Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data; Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data; Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data; Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

Blocking the consent cookie is harmless - at most, the banner will ask again on your next visit.
